It's been a busy but rather unproductive week for me.

It seemed like this week every time consuming errand needed to be taken care of and on top of that both of us got a rather unpleasant stomach virus that involved spending way too much time on the porcelain throng.

Didn't help that I upgraded 3 of our Macs to Snow Leopard Friday afternoon. The upgrades went well but on my main work computer I had a few programs that needed to be upgraded and a few more that have not had upgrades released for them yet.

Snow Leopard seems lot faster, especially the Finder and networking plus I got back over 10 gigs of drive space back after the first reboot and another 12 gigs that oddly showed up after a few more reboots.

Just like after any major OS updated I spent a lot of time on Mac forums learning about Snow Leopard and how it affects my workflow plus just being a geek and exploring Snow Leopard. So far I'm extremely pleased with this update.

Friday night we went to a swinger party It was kind of like watching porn in 3D with surround sound. I'm so fucking jaded after so many years working in adult entertainment that I'm pretty much just interested in socializing not even thinking to look at the people walking around naked or in a pile fucking. It was an interesting mix of people mostly in that forties and older. It was Christy's first swinger party. I don't think she really knew what to make of it but seemed to have a good time. We were the only same sex couple there but that didn't seem to be a problem and everyone was really great.

After a morning of playing catchup in work getting ready to head out to the beach but naturally it's looking like it is going to rain. I guess if the rain kills going to the beach there is also more mundane errands to be run along with paying catchup in work.

Looking forward to Snow Leopard aka Mac OS 10.6 this Friday. Hopefully it won't break any of the software I use forcing me to upgrade something that I don't really feel like spending money on.

Christy started a new job today that involves getting up much earlier than her old job which naturally means I'm getting up much earlier.

Hit the gym once I was caffeinated and awake enough to actually put clothes on and leave the house.

Besides going to the gym today has been just another manic day of work and errands which I guess makes for a very boring blog entry although starting my day so early did result in me getting all caught up in everything.

Screwing With The Teacher

We got up at sunrise and snorkeled the reef off of Vista Park today. The ocean was like glass with just a gentle breeze, about as perfect as it gets. The only thing that would have made it any better would have been if it had been low tide so that the water wouldn't have been so deep.

The raft that I ordered last month worked out really well, better than expected. Next time we will probably leave the inflatable seat cushions home as the life vests that we bought double as seat cushions. Also the rope that we pulled the boat with while we were snorkeling chafed our arms so I need to put more comfortable ends on the rope.

The water was full of beautiful fish and we even saw some stingrays. I had no idea that there was such a good reef so close to shore and so close to where we live. Being that it was high tide the reef was a bit too deep to get a good view while on the surface so next time we are hoping to hit it at low tide.

It's looking like Christy may have a few days off next week and if she does and if the weather stays nice we are planning on snorkeling up at Red Reef Park in Boca Raton next but if we can't get away for the day then there is still lots to explore at the Vista Park reef.

Screwing The Professor In Class

After dropping my Apple keyboard dozens of times today was once too many for it. I often work with the keyboard in my lap and my feet up on the desk and it will slip off my lap and land on the floor. Or sometimes my chair will catch the usb cable yanking it onto the floor.

I spent about twenty minutes trying to put it back together but then I realized that some of the key's hinges were broken off.

Finally gave up and ran over to Best Buy and bought a new Mac keyboard. Wasn't too happy to see that they had gone up $10 bucks in price but I've really grown to love the newer style keyboards.

Went to a benefit last night with a bunch of my old computer clients. It was nice seeing people that I've know for many years but hadn't seen in years but hearing just how bad business is for everyone was rather depressing.

At least the possibility of getting hit with a hurricane got us motivated to finally remove the palms growing too close to the house this morning.

Been watching the tropical storms and possible hurricanes heading our way. It seems we are in the cone of death but still too far away to worry that much about them.

We have been getting lots of needed rain but why does it always seem to come when we are able to take a few days off?

My Vette hadn't been washed in over a month and was dusty as hell but yesterday while I was at the gym it rained so hard that now it looks like it has been through the car wash.

We had planned on spending this weekend going to the beach and doing some snorkeling but instead the both of us have ended up spending most of the weekend in front of the computer. We are such geeks and workaholics.

It's looking to be a relaxing night of movies while listening to the rain.

I seem to have a new pet lizard in the backyard. It's been hanging out next to the Macaw's aviary so I started seeing if I could get him to take food from me a few days ago and now I have him waiting for pieces of fruit from me each day when I go out to feed the macaws. Hopefully one of my cats don't catch and eat him.

Naturally now that we have all our snorkeling equipment and finally a few days off the ocean has gotten rough again. Earlier this week when both of us were swamped with work the ocean was smooth as glass and perfect for taking a large raft out to the reefs. It's not looking good for the next few days but this is the topics so you never really know what the weather will be like the next day or even later in the day. Until I moved here when I was a child I had never seen it rain in the front yard while it was sunny and dry in the backyard.

Did gym thing this morning after a large dose of caffeine and then spent the day slaving at the computer which is pretty much what my whole week has been like.

Pussy For a Rave Place

My feet are still hurting. I feel like I've spent the last few days running inside a giant hamster wheel.

Spent three days at InterNEXT.

InterNext was way smaller than it has been in past years but still it was very good for doing business despite being tragically devoid of attendees compared to past shows.

The seminars at InterNext were surprisingly worthwhile, learned a lot at them.

Friday night a group of us went over to Dave & Busters which was a whole lot of fun with surprisingly good food. We wanted to head back over to the hotel afterwards but between our very full tummies and sleep deprived bodies we had all we could do to drive back home and crash.

Trying to get back to the daily grind but I'm still exhausted and I oddly feel like I've got jet lag.

Nice to see that after replacing most of our perfectly good storm shutters with new certified more expensive, but no better, storm shutters now the insurance companies are trying to eliminated the storm shutter discount. Maybe I should have just bought a big vat of anal lube instead.

Yesterday we got up before sunrise and went to the beach to try to do some snorkeling and try out our new raft.

The ocean seemed a bit too rough and someone even said something to us but it didn't seem that bad a few hundred yards out so we inflated or little boat and headed out.

As soon as we got a few hundred yards from shore the weather started getting rough but we kept on going figuring that once we got to the buoy we could rest. Christy was in the raft rowing and I was in the water with my fins on pushing the raft.

We finally got close enough for Christy to grab the buoy and I started climbing back into the raft but just as I was getting in Christy let go of the buoy when a crab scared her and at the same time one of my flippers fell off. If that wasn't bad enough I ripped my bathing suit bottoms off as I was climbing in.

So now we are both in the raft. The wind has pushed us far from the buoy and my fin is floating away. We started rowing like crazy to catchup with my fin and Christy was finally able to grab it but by this time the waves had gotten pretty big and we had drifted way down the beach far from where we needed to be.

I'm not sure if anyone in the high rise condos were watching us but if anyone was they must have been amused by all of it not to mention getting a free show of my naked ass.

We finally made it back to show exhausted.

Today I ordered a few more items including some proper rope for anchoring onto buoys and a sand anchor for when there is nothing to tie onto.

Mailman Gets a Tranny Surprise

I've been slammed with work all this week and other then running errands and going to the gym haven't done anything except putting in very long hours at the computer. Last night we were going to go out to the local neighborhood pub for a bit but ended up in bed burnt out and exhausted before midnight.

Our silly little inflatable boat arrived this week. Right after I finished inflating and then deflating the raft by hand the cordless electric pump arrived in the mail.

The same day that the boat arrived the UPS's website showed that our kayak snorkel flag had also been delivered and left at our front door but it wasn't so I hopped on my bicycle and peddled my ass around the neighborhood until I spotted the package on one of our neighbor's doorsteps. We have our house numbers lit up in a lavender neon sign so I can't imagine why the UPS driver left it on the doorstep of the house next door which was also the last place I looked as I started my search heading west and it was on the doorstep of the house on our east side.

Would have loved to have actually gotten to have used all of our new toys but today has been the first day that we both had the day off and naturally the ocean has been way to rough to go snorkeling.

Hopefully the weather will be nicer tomorrow and we can actually use all this crap to go snorkeling.
